POLICE ADVISE PEOPLE TO SEEK HELP

Maseru, Aug. 20 — Detective Inspector Tsietso Motlohi of the Mabote Police station CID department has pleaded with the nation to seek psychological validation as to get through with their everyday difficulties.

This comes after a 48 year-old man of Khubetsoana hanged himself in the presence of his children.

According to Detective Inspector Motlohi, there are different places and people that can offer psychological assistance  such as the Police and Priests that people can go to as opposed to resorting to suicide.

He mentioned that such issues affect children in ways that they end up being school drop outs due to the depression that comes with witnessing such incidents and later turn into crime.

He however pleaded with men to open up, showing that it is not a sign of weakness to be vulnerable and seeking help.

According to international reports, the rate of suicide is reported high on men that women ranging from the ages of 13.
