DCPT MEMBERS ON A TWO-DAY WORKSHOP

Thaba Tseka Sept. 21 — Karabo ea Bophelo says literature shows that children affected by HIV are more likely to be exposed to violence and abuse.

This was stated by Capacity Strengthening Coordinator Mr. Malefane Matela during the District Child Protection Team (DCPT) refresher workshop on Thursday.

Mr. Matela said children are exposed to violence and abuse and are more likely to become infected. He continued to state that stigma among other factors makes connecting and engagement with clients difficult and makes it a challenge to identify and follow.
