REHABILITATION OF THE A1 ROAD BETWEEN LERIBE, BUTHA-BUTHE UNDERWAY

Botha-Bothe, Aug 29 — In a bid to enhance travel efficiency and ensure safer journeys, the rehabilitation of the A1 Road spanning from Ha ‘Malesaoana in Leribe to the Butha-Buthe traffic circle is now in progress.

According to Public Relations Manager, Mrs Nozesolo Matela, this pivotal infrastructure project, undertaken by China Geo Engineering Pty Ltd, holds the promise of reducing travel times and improving overall road conditions.

She says the comprehensive plant and design-build rehabilitation endeavour, boasting a price tag of M214 Million, is estimated to span a duration of 18 months. The Road Fund has extended funding for this ambitious project, emphasizing the vital role of the A1 Road in the region’s transportation network.

She continues to show that the scope of the rehabilitation venture encompasses an array of critical activities, including the meticulous design, rehabilitation, and reinstatement of pavement layers.
