SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT EXTENDS A HELPING HAND

Qacha’s Nek, Aug.11 — Department of Social Development has given clothes to Retired Police Officer Lance Sergeant Lehlohonolo Phate whose single room was burnt to ashes recently.

Lance Sergeant Phate of Morumots’o popularly known as Police line’s house was set ablaze by firewood coal as he had set fire trying to warm himself.

A 83-year-old man failed to rescue a single thing and was left with the only clothes he wore that day.

The tragic incident forced him to share a room with his 15-year-old granddaughter who stayed alone within the same yard.
