SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT PRESENTS BESP REPORT

Maseru, Nov.30 — Although the Ministry of Gender, Youth and Social Development intended to reach 9000 children through its Basic Education Strengthening Project (BESP), only 1564 children were reached hence a challenge.

This was revealed by the Department of Social Development Director of Planning Mrs. Mankhatho Linko during a one-day workshop held in Maseru on Thursday with the objective to unpack the BESP progress report before members of the media

Mrs. Linko said 3000 children registered for this project which commenced in February last year and 1683 were reached while 1564 already received the money, saying 124 children dropped out of school. . .
