WOMEN IN COURT FOR MURDER

Mafeteng, April 14 — Two women of Matelile Ha Sehlabo and Methinyeng ‘Malehlohonolo Mokobocho and ‘Makatleo Motjeane aged between 29 and 32 years have appeared shortly before the Mafeteng Magistrate Court charged with intentional murder of one Keletso Matobo of Methinyeng in Matelile.    

According to the charge sheet the convicts on April 07,2023 intentionally, wrongfully and unlawfully assaulted one Keletso Matobo while drinking beer at one of the local Taverns located at Methinyeng on Friday last week through stabbing her with a knife.

It showed that the convicts upon their arrival at the Tavern they called the deceased outside the tavern and confronted her about the relationship with the one of the convict’s husband, telling her that she should stop it with immediate but before responding to the accusations one of the convicts stabbed her while the other one was holding the deceased to stop her fighting for herself.

It stated that they stabbed deceased until the she fell down and she was assisted by those who drinking together with her as she was unable to help herself due to various bleeding wounds all over the body and they took her to Scott Hospital where she was confirmed dead the same day.  

The convicts are expected to appear before Mafeteng Magistrate Court for second remand on April 24, 2023.
