Mohale’s Hoek, June 11 — World Vision International Lesotho’s (WVIL) Cluster Manager, Ms. Pulane Mokhethi has on Tuesday stated that the Mpharane programme which commenced in 2009 will come to an end in 2026.

Ms. Mokhethi noted this at an Annual Stakeholder Review Meeting, held with an objective of identifying areas of achievements as well as gaps, and how WVL can improve from health, Hiv & Aids, Nutrition, Livelihoods and resilience, while developing sectors as part of it’s strategy.

She indicated that Mpharane programme which has 4, 300 Registered Children (RC’s) has assisted 4 health centers, 2 police stations and 23 primary schools with clean and potable water, while Phamong programme which commenced in 2019 and is expected to end in 2033, has assisted 4,500 RC’s, and has been operational in Qhoasing and Lithipeng community councils.

Ms. Mokhethi concluded by emphasizing that the most significant part of reviewing and planning is also to discuss ways in which projects could be sustained after their life span has ended.
