Maseru, Oct. 20 — In an endeavour to promote creativity and critical thinking among children, ‘Ke Mosotho’ association of youth will hold coding and robotics exhibition in Maseru next week Saturday.
The purpose of the upcoming exhibition is to introduce the world of technology to children in an interactive and educative manner, Mr. Tlapane Tséhlo, Programme’s Director of the association told the Agency in an interview on Friday.
He said hand in glove with Limkokwing University of Creative Technology (LUCT), Steamles and other partners, ‘Ke Mosotho’ recognises the importance of training and preparing children for the ever changing world of technology.
“The world is moving rapidly, thus it becomes important for us to keep up, help children to learn so that they can become resilient in this dynamic world while also focusing on the future rather than engaging in the use and abuse of drugs and alcohol”.
He said during this exhibition, participants will have a chance to listen to informative presentations covering a range of technological related topics while also enhancing knowledge and understanding in this area.
Mr. Tséhlo appealed to students from different schools including parents and guardians to come and learn for free, as the exhibition also aims to give provision for interaction with experts and professionals in the field of technology.
‘Ke Mosotho’ is an association made up of youth graduates from different institutions with the aim to engage in robotics and coding programmes so as to fight unemployment rate among others.
