MAIZE PURCHASING SLOW

Qacha’sNek, July 28 — Food Management Unit (FMU) Warehouse Assistant, Mrs. ‘Marethabile Hoodi says maize buying is slow as less than two tonnes have been received since the launch of the Disaster Management Authority (DMA) food for work programme in July 19, 2023.

The programme came a few weeks after DMA officers embarked on a livelihood vulnerability assessment aimed at providing timely analysis for emergency interventions as well as medium to long-term programming.
