MPS DEBATE OVER IMPLEMENTATION OF THREE PATHWAYS CURRICULUM

Maseru, May 15 – The Members of Parliament (MPs) in the National Assembly debated the implementation of curriculum that enables three pathways at basic level on Wednesday.

Mrs. Mamello Phooko who represents the Lesotho Congress for Democracy (LCD) on Proportional Representation (PR) said they urge the Government of Lesotho to implement the already developed curriculum that will operationalise three pathways at Basic Education.

She said these three pathways are grades 8 to 11, namely vocational, technical and academia streams and to introduce grade 12 in order to afford the completing students a chance of straight admission to tertiary schools without being required to take bridging courses.  . .
