Maseru, Oct. 13 — The Revolution for Prosperity (RFP) has removed the Abia Member of Parliament, Mr. Thuso Makhalanyane from both being the party’s caucus whip and as Chief Whip in the National Assembly.
This was announced by Speaker of the National Assembly, Mr. Tlohang Sekhamane when reading a letter from RFP’s committee Secretary, Mrs. ‘Mamokete Ntsékhe.
He said Mr. Makhalanyane’s position has since been given to Mr. Lethole Lethole who is deputized by Mr. Lephoi Makara following the meeting of the party members in August this year.
Mr. Makhalanyane together with Lithoteng Parliamentarian, Mr. Rethabile Letlailana as well as the Matlakeng constituency Legislator, Dr. Mahali Phamotse were expelled by the party recently.
This was after the trio criticized their party on social media and on national radio stations accusing it of failing to abide by the promises they made ahead of the October 07 general polls.
They once voted against the government in the National Assembly which triggered their suspension and later expulsion from RFP.
Despite having been expelled the trio was present in the National Assembly and occupied their original seats in the government side.
They have since challenged their expulsion in the courts of law.
