OPPOSITION WALKS OUT OF PARLIAMENT

Maseru, Oct 19 – Opposition members in the National Assembly walked out of Parliament for what they described as fear and security reasons due to the prevailing situation in the country on Thursday.

Member of Parliament representing Basotho Action Party (BAP) on Proportional Representation (PR), Mr. Motlatsi Maqelepo stood with a point of order saying due to the events which followed the motion of no confidence to the Government and Prime Minister on Monday, they no longer feel safe.

He said Prime Minister Mr. Ntsokoane Matekane made a statement on state owned Radio Lesotho, where he expressed concern about the Government he is heading to be under threat by the Members of Parliament.
