ORAL HEALTH WEEK COMMEMORATED AT DALEWE PRIMARY SCHOOL

Quthing, August 29 – – At least two hundred and sixty seven pupils comprise of teachers from Dalewe primary school within Tsatsane Health Service Area received toothpaste and a toothbrush each during an event to mark Oral l Health Awareness Week held at the Primary school premises on Monday this week.

In an interview at the Event, the Nursing manager at Tsatsane Health Clinic Senior Registered Nurse Hlompho Theko said the event celebrated in a form of outreach is important to bring oral health services closer to the rural community from the health service area.

She expressed the need for the district department of health to organise oral health education for staff from the clinic to easily impart oral health issues to the community at village level during health talks held daily before resuming daily services in the clinic, and during monthly outreach to the villages.
