SEXUAL OFFENCES CASES DOMINATE LCS WEEKLY REPORTS

Maseru, Aug 17 — The Lesotho Correctional Service (LCS) has recorded a total of 11 cases of sexual offences in its weekly reports released this week.

LCS’s Chief Officer Bokang Ramotena told the Agency that there are 11 men who are awaiting trial facing sexual offences.

She also stated that eight (8) male suspects are in prison awaiting trial facing murder charges, while one is a female facing murder charges plus one boy who is accused of a similar charge.

Chief Officer Ramotena highlighted that there are five suspects who are awaiting trial for stock theft, plus three who are charged with robbery.

She said there are two suspects facing fraud and another two facing common theft, with the same number charged with house breaking. . .
