Mohale’s Hoek, August. 29– Trust For Africa, (TFA) alongside World Vision Lesotho has held a two-day workshop for about 17 police officers from Lesotho Mounted Police Fire Brigade, on nurturing the hearts of orphans and children.
According to Sub-Inspector Tefo Kopeli, officers are from different police stations in the district and part of District Child Protection Team (DCPT), hence the training which he noted will equip them with relevant skills when dealing with children in their day-to-day activities.
Sub-Inspector Kopeli highlighted that after the training officers would be in a position to maintain calmness even in difficult situations to avoid traumatizing children by making them relief the pain of circumstances they might be surrounded by.
