MACUFE SET TO RETURN IN OCTOBER 

Maseru, Apr. 17 — After a decade long interruption, the Morija Arts and Cultural Festival (MACUFE) is poised to make a triumphant return this October, marking the celebration of Lesotho’s 200 years of nationhood. 

The announcement was made by Mrs. ’Mamokuena Makhema, Curator of the Morija Museum and Archives, on Wednesday.

She said the revival of the MACUFE 2024 Edition holds a significant cultural and societal importance, aiming to restore Basotho cultural norms and foster unity among the nation, emphasising a collective purpose of living in peace.

Mrs. Makhema highlighted a diverse array of activities planned for the festival, including the renowned Nanabolele Blanket Exhibition, the Sekoele Rock Art Exhibition and various school competitions.
