Botha-Bothe, Apr. 24 — Lebohang Mofokeng (31) of Ha Belo and Moojane Lehata (34) of Maoela-oela, Motete have appeared separately before the Botha-Bothe Magistrate Court on account of rape.
The two accused have been charged for contravening the provisions of Section 3(2) read with Section 32(a)(III) of Sexual Offences Act No.3 of 2003 (Sexual Offences under coercive circumstances)
On the first case, Lebohang is said to have raped Marethabile Koebu (34) on April 4, 2026 at Ha Belo, Mantaboreng.
The accused has been granted bail of M1000.00 and will appear in court again on May 19, 2026.
On the second case, Moojane has been charged for raping Qolile Heshepe (22) on April 5 2026.
According to the court, the accused forcefully restled the victim to the ground, strangled her and lay on top of her, undressed her and touched her thighs and buttocks without her consent.
The accused will appear again in court on May 5, 2026 for bail hearing.
