URBAN COUNCIL MAYOR CALLS FOR FINANCIAL SUPPORT

Mafeteng, July 21–The Urban Council Mayor Mr. Leferefere Nthoesana has called on the government of Lesotho through the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftainship, Home Affairs and Police to provide them with funding to address the problem of streets lights and other needs.

He said it has been years since streetlights around town were not effective, saying the problem has contributed to different criminal offenses in town.

Mr. Nthoesana said the absence of light in the night in town also allows thieves to break vendors’ businesses without being seen, adding that it is also difficult to trace them. . .
