DMA, RED CROSS, WORLD VISION HANDS OVER FOOD PARCELS

Qacha’sNek, Aug. 10 — Disaster Management Authority (DMA) with the support of Lesotho Red Cross Society and World Vision Lesotho has today handed over food parcels, hygiene pack, mattresses and blankets amongst others to three families from Police line, Ha Noosi and Ha Nqhoaki.

The Police line resident house was burnt to ashes recently while the other two families’ houses after a strong windstorm blew away roofs around June forcing one of the families to stay at the area Chief along with her four children as she had no alternative shelter.

In an interview with the Agency, Mr. Motautona Thabo, Divisional Secretary, Lesotho Red Cross Society Qacha’s Nek said in desperate times like this, Redcross chip in with what they have from their storeroom in Maseru.
