Maseru, Aug. 14 — Investing in education is not just a right move but it is also a smart economic initiative as education leads the path towards health, empowerment and employment.
This was said by the Principal Secretary at the Ministry of Education and Training, Dr. John Oliphant while receiving about 2000 pairs of school shoes as a donation from the Vodacom Lesotho Foundation. The event was held at Maseru on Monday.
In his acceptance speech, Dr. Oliphant stated that the government of Lesotho aims at ensuring access to education to every child across the country and such can be achieved with the support of the private sector through their Corporate Social Initiatives (CSI).
