Maseru, Aug. 31 — Basotho speaks highly of the Basotho Flea Market that was held in Maseru today.
In a conversation with Mr. Mathe Petlane, who is into agriculture, mentioned that he helps people with agriculture products.
“Through the Flea Market, people managed to recognize my business and for that I am pleased to say that I have gained more customers who want to learn about farming,” he mentioned.
Bohlokoa Liete, a student from Lithabaneng LECSA Primary School, from Creo-Lab mentioned that this is a platform where they show their talent in many ways.
“In this platform, I created the reusable pads which can be used for at least three years because they are washable,” she indicated.
She also mentioned that this is their first time being at the market and they hope people will recognize their products.
Ms. Lineo Pebane from Kitchen Chemistry, a Chef School, mentioned that this is their third appearance at the market and they are pleased to mention that their school is growing as they have admitted more students who are interested in being chefs.
Furthermore, Ms. ‘Mamosa Putsoa, a customer, pointed out that the Flea Market has helped them meet their needs and wants because there are different stalls with different items, it is no longer necessary for one to walk long distances to get what they need.
“Through the market we are able to get services fast unlike when we are at the offices of the service providers where we wait at long quess before accessing services,” she stated.
She stressed that this is a good initiative done by the government in helping Basotho businesses grow and be recognized.
