ARTISAN MINING HOLDS POTENTIAL-MOLEKO

Maseru, Sep.25 — The Ministry of Mining held a meeting for artisan and small scale mining entrepreneurs with the purpose of putting them in light of the progress made by the ministry towards the implementation of the small scale and artisanal mining.

Speaking at this meeting, the Minister of Mining Mr. Mohlomi Moleko said that the mining industry in Lesotho holds great potential for development as Lesotho is rich in a number of natural resources that can be mined towards the development of the country.

He stated that the ministry is yet to engage in a study which it aiming at establishing the composition of other natural resources across the country which enable more Basotho to engage in the mining industry which he said he hopes will help fill the gap of addressing issues such as that of the high rate of unemployment that the country is faced with. . .
