CLASSES RESUME AT LCE

Maseru, April 16 — The Minister of Education and Training Professor Ntoi Rapapa has revealed that classes at the Lesotho College of Education (LCE) have resumed.

This he said at a press conference that was held  in Maseru on Tuesday following the strike that the students embarked on last week after the college made increments in fee structures which the National Manpower Development Secretariat (NMDS) failed to pay and requested the students to top up on those fees.

At this presser, Professor Rapapa indicated that he had a meeting with students and the council of the college with which an agreement was reached that students should resume with their classes unconditionally and also have results of previous students to be published.

He stated that despite the agreement that was reached between all the relevant parties, the students also decided to take legal routes even when he as the minister requested to settle out of court.
