Berea, April 16 — In an effort to enhance agricultural production, Rural Self-Help Development Association (RSDA) will hold a one day mutli-sectoral meeting on Thursday at Treyateyaneng aimed to equip Berea farmers with skills on how to approach organic farming.

This was disclosed by RSDA Field Officer Mr. Makholo Ts’ilo during an interview with the Agency on Tuesday.

Mr. Ts’ilo said the primary purpose of the meeting is to introduce the Participatory Guarantee System (PGS) as the new concept in crop production, their roles and responsibilities as farmers and the working structures.

He further said recently farmers are encouraged to embark on organic farming, therefore there is a need to develop a clear track record of crops farm up until they reach shops, hence the initiative to raise awareness for farmers on proper ways of approaching crop production.
