Maseru, July.31 — Amid growing concerns among Basotho over rumours of being declared undesirable at South African borders, the Border Management Authority (BMA) has moved to clarify the situation and calm public fears.
A source from the BMA, who chose to remain anonymous, revealed that starting August 1, the Authority will introduce a new immigration stamp.
He mentioned that this decision comes as a response to concerns over the current stamps, which are said to be susceptible to fraud due to limited security features.
The source emphasized that the new stamp is a security upgrade and does not carry any implications for travellers saying that there is no need for panic and also assured that no fee will be charged for the new stamp, contrary to public speculation…NT/BM
