COURT DEFERRED RULING

Maseru, Nov.02—-The High Court sitting as the Constitutional Court has deferred to Friday next week a ruling on jurisdiction in a case in which a Member of Parliament for Thaba Moea Constituency No. 73, Mr. Lejone Puseletso is challenging a proposed motion of no confidence in the Government of Lesotho.

This was after it heard arguments from both the respondents and the applicant’s legal representatives on the issue of jurisdiction which has been challenged by the respondents.  The respondents argued that the Court does not have the jurisdiction to entertain the case while the applicant argued that it has unlimited jurisdiction as provided for under the High Court Rules to hear the case and interpret the Constitution.
