ACCUSED ASKS COURT TO FIND HIM NOT GUILTY 

Maseru, Nov.02—- Police Constable Lillo Pitiri who is charged with the murder of Lipakuoele Lehlosi which occurred at Quthing in 2017, has on Thursday through his lawyer Advocate Paul Mosuoe asked the court to find him not guilty of murder. 

This was during arguments before the High Court after both the prosecution and the defence closed their cases. 

The accused’s lawyer asked the court to not believe the prosecution witnesses. He argued that the evidence against his client was manufactured in order to secure a conviction. He indicated that investigations into the case were not properly done. He said the police contaminated the crime scene, adding that an exhibit was handled by many people.
