ELECTION CONTENDER TESTIFIES IN MURDER TRIAL

Maseru, Feb. 12 — Today in the High Court of Lesotho, Matsána Masiphole who was a candidate in the 2017 general elections under the umbrella of Alliance for Democrats (AD), testified about a murder that occurred at Moru- Motsó in Mohale’s Hoek on December 27 2017.

The accused in this case is Bulara Letsie and he is charged with the murder of Nohana Mosoleng.

In a calm and measured tone, the witness narrated that he had a thanksgiving ceremony whereby he was thanking the people who supported him though he did not win. The ceremony was on December 26, 2017 following which the tragedy happened.

He said he invited all villagers and AD members to celebrate together. He further said all the people were there as invited. He told the court that he took a glance at the near house where he saw Nohana Mosoleng (Deceased) at his place not at the ceremony. . .
