Maseru, Dec.24—With few hours left before celebrating Christmas Day, the community of Litenteng Ha-Tsunyane woke up in despair on Sunday morning as the temporary structure of access bridge collapsed following storms experienced countrywide on Saturday evening.
In December 2020, the access bridge connecting Litenteng and other villages on the other side of the river collapsed due to heavy rains and the villagers made a temporary structure while awaited government to construct the access bridge but to date not even a sign of construction of bridge.
The Agency had about a week ago discovered that the temporary structure had hugely deteriorated and hanging by the thread thus resulting in it collapsing and endangering people’s lives.
