Maseru, Nov. 18– The Lesotho Defence Force (LDF) Contingent in Mozambique under SADC Mission in Mozambique (SAMIM) together with its counterpart from the United Republic of Tanzania (URT) conducted a joint offensive mobile patrol at Nkonka village in Nangade district, Cabo Delgado Province since the beginning of November 2023.
This is after the intelligence report revealing an unexploded 60mm mortar rocket and M32 grenade near the mentioned village, and the combat engineers of both forces successfully destroyed those explosives.
According to the LDF current Affairs, on the same day they went to the police station of Litingina following a police report on the discovery of two unexploded M26 grenades at the mentioned village. The engineers successfully destroyed them as well.
