LESOTHO RESUMES SACU CHAIRMANSHIP

Maseru, July.13 — The Kingdom of Lesotho will assume the Chairmanship of the South African Customs Union (SACU) Summit council of ministers and commission effective from July, 15th to July, 14th next year.

According to a release undersigned by the SACU Executive Secretary Mr. Thabo Khasipe, Lesotho is taking over from Eswatini which held the SACU Chair from July 2022 to July this year.

In this release, SACU revealed that Lesotho’s Prime Minister Mr. Samuel Matekane will assume the role of Chairperson of the SACU Summit while the Minister of Finance and Development Planning Dr. Rets’elisitsoe Matlanyane will assume that of Chairperson of the SACU Council of Ministers. . .
