SETURUMANE HONOURED WITH A MEMORIAL SERVICE

Maseru, April 24 — The late Senate former Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod Retired Senior Superintendent Seturumane Seturumane was honoured with a memorial service.

The service which commenced  with a Mass Service held at Police Training College (PTC) saw the presence of family, friends, colleagues within LMPS including Upper House of the Parliament as well as St. Theresa Seminar, Roma.

In his address, Senate Vice President, Mr. Tsukutlane Au said the role of Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod is huge in the House, stating the deceased served for two consecutive terms from 2014 to 2020 in the House, a signal that he was a disciplined servant.

He indicated the Rod means the presence of the King in the House, adding such was a huge task he would not have undertaken unless he was courageous. AM/TL
