Maseru, May 10 — The current Minister of Labour and Employment, also Deputy Leader of Lesotho Congress for Democracy (LCD) Mr. Tseliso Mokhosi says he was not aware of the arrest of the late Maaparankoe Mahao in 2015 while he was the Minister of Defence and National Security adding that he did not authorise it.
This he said in his evidence before the High Court in a case in which some members of the Lesotho Defence Force (LDF) are charged with the murder of Mahao.
He testified that he learned about the arrest when he was informed by the then Army Commander Tlali Kamoli, who is one of the accused in the matter. He stated that Kamoli told him that there was a group of soldiers who went to arrest Mahao and found him on the way. He indicated that he told him that when they tried to stop him in order to arrest him, he raised and cocked his gun. . .
