Maseru, Jun, 21 – Lesotho National Development Corporation (LNDC) and the African Export and Import Bank (Afreximbank ) held the joint Project Preparation Facility workshop in Maseru on Friday.
According to the interim CEO of LNDC Mr. Molise Ramaili, the theme of the workshop is “Leveraging Project Preparation to Boost Trade and Investment in Lesotho.”
He mentioned that the LNDC’s mandate is to initiate, promote, and facilitate the development of manufacturing, processing industries, mining, and commerce, with the goal of increasing income levels and employment in Lesotho.
“Through its business unit, the LNDC implements a five-year strategic plan aimed at creating enterprises that can generate trade, jobs, and economic activities,” mentioned Mr. Ramaili.
He declared that this strategy focuses on empowering local businesses to engage in the economy through investment, trade, foreign direct investment partnerships, and access to finance.
