LOCAL FARMERS NEED SENSITISATION

Thaba Tseka, Apr. 18 — Thaba Tseka Farmers Forum Secretary General says the government should sensitize local producers about pricing before closing borders for the import of identified products.

This Chief Motale Motale stated during an interview with the Agency on Thursday following the statement by the Minister of Agriculture, Food Security, and Nutrition Mr. Thabo Mofosi on Wednesday.

According to Chief Motale, that will help farmers on how to price products making it easy for informal traders and retail stores to access, so they do not lose customers over overpriced products.

He added that after the closure of the importation of tomatoes and apples in the country, crop farmers took advantage of that and prices soared.
