Maseru, Sept. 26 — One of the oldest political parties in the country Marematlou Freedom Party (MFP) will contest the upcoming Local Government elections in only six Electoral Divisions out of the 950 countrywide.
MFP Leader Mr. Tlhoriso Lekatsa told the Agency on Tuesday that the party will only be able to field candidates in six EDs of Ratau in the Machache constituency, Phuthiatsana in Berea, Tsolo, Lithabaneng in the Maseru urban as well as Peka and Kolonyama in the Berea district.
Mr. Lekatsa said the reason for not being able to contest in all the EDs is unavailability of funds after investing a lot in the general elections held in October last year.
