MP CLARIFIES HIS ARREST

Maseru, Aug.15—The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Abia constituency Mr. Thuso Makhalanyane said that his arrest on Monday night is in some way related to him being against the passing of the original Omnibus Bill, 2022.

Speaking in an interview with the Agency on Tuesday, Mr. Makhalanyane said that the government wants to pass the bill as amended making it not the original version as per the expectations of the nation on the matters related to the national reforms.

He mentioned that his arrest is associated with the government wanting to shut him on this matter adding that the original bill should pass as is. . .
