Maseru, Sept. 23 — The Ministry of Education through the Spelling Bee Association Lesotho (SBALE) held the national Spelling bee competition to enhance thinking capabilities of learners. The event in Maseru on Saturday.
The Marketing and Events Director from the Ministry as well as SBALE Mr. Mokone Mapharisi indicated that the Spelling Bee competition is meant to assist learners with pronunciation of words and Spelling them in order to make it easy for them when writing.
He said the national competition derives from previous competitions which were held in schools, districts and regional, adding that today’s competition prepare learners to go and compete in Limpopo, South Africa and to African SBALE in December.
