Mafeteng,Jan. 23 — The Mafeteng Magistrate Court has sentenced a 46 year-old Mophethe Ramathe of Phahameng Mafeteng who was a teacher at Mafeteng Lesotho Evangelical Church in Southern Africa to 13 years imprisonment without option of fine for sexually molesting a 13 year-old girl who was a pupil at the mentioned school.
According to the evidence led before court the convict on March 08, 2019 intentionally, wrongfully and unlawfully decided to sexually abused the complainant at the school premisees.
It showed that the complainant together with her colleagues were called by the convict who was the conductor for school choir to prepare for a competition when he deliberately raped the victim, asking her not to leave so that he will teach her chacha dance and the song to be sung during the competition while other pupils were released.
