Qacha’s Nek, Sept. 2 – Ms. Palesa Hlasa, Public Health Coordinator at Tebellong LECSA Hospital, has issued an urgent call for support to sustain the Adolescent Health Corner and combat the rising issue of Early and Unintended Pregnancies (EUP) affecting the facility.
Speaking at a dialogue with the UN team and key stakeholders held at the hospital on Monday, Hlasa highlighted a significant decline in participation due to the cessation of lunch support from the Ministry of Health (MoH).
“We can no longer provide lunch since the MoH’s support stopped,” she explained. “We urgently need assistance to continue our meetings and efforts to prevent teenage pregnancies.” . .
