YOUTH ASSOCIATION EMPOWERS VARIOUS SECTORS

Maseru, April 21 — Association of children and youth known as Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed (AWANA) is engaged in a series of trainings meant to empower different sectors of the society.

To this effect, AWANA will hold a one-day training for Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Teachers  in Maseru next week according to the Association Chairperson.

Reverend Thomas Lebiletsa said the overall objective of this training is to extend support to participants so they would nurture, and continue shaping young childrens’ development, preparing them for primary education and beyond.

He added the importance of Teachers in grooming and in the upbringing of children, hence their willingness to support this area of learning so that children can become better citizens in future. AM/TL
