Maseru, Sept. 27 — The government through the office of the Government Secretary has issued a Savingram releasing public servants for purposes of the local government elections on Friday.
A Savingram issued to all Principal Secretaries, all District Administrators and all Heads of Departments has advised for release of staff members who need to travel to their respective constituencies for the said elections on Thursday at 12:00 hours.
However, the Government Secretary has called for alternative arrangements to be made so as to ensure that all offices have skeleton staff to provide services to the public until 4:30 pm on that day, Thursday.
Special care should be taken so as to ensure that government vehicles are safely kept as according to the Savingram.
