ACCESS ROADS CHALLENGE IN MOST VILLAGES

Maseru, May 29 — Inaccessible, poor and dilapidated access roads are a challenge in most villages under Likotsi constituency in Maseru.

The villages include Khoahle, Ha Tampeoane, Ha Chala and Tsoapo-le-Bolila to mention a few.

Speaking in an interview Mr. Tseliso Lekhela of Ha Chala said that inaccessible roads in their village is a huge challenge saying that this hinders them from using small vehicles.

He said that they have tried as a community to maintain them but that is not enough saying they need yellow plant machinery to help.

Sharing the same sentiments Mrs. ‘Mafelleng Mokhosi from Ha Rampeoane said that they need access roads saying that with the current situation of inaccessible roads  they are not better than people living in rural areas yet they are in urban Maseru.

On the other hand Mrs. ‘Mathabang Sefuthi from Khoahle said they had hoped that by now they would have access roads especially since the current government had promised them developments.

Meanwhile, the government through the Ministry of Public Works and Transport is currently working on major roads within the city centre.
