ACCUSED TO BE RELEASED IF WITNESS FAILS TO SHOW UP 

Maseru,Feb.05– A presiding judge in a case in which ten army members are charged with the murder of three men whom they allegedly kidnapped, killed and dumped their bodies into the Mohale Dam, Justice Moroke Mokhesi has on Monday stated that if Detective Inspector Tankiso Lethoko is not before court tomorrow, he will release the accused on bail. 

This was after the court was informed by the prosecution that Inspector Lethoko who is a witness in this matter and is due for cross-examination in a trial-within-trial, is not available. A prosecutor in this matter Advocate Motene Rafoneke told the court that although the witness was reminded that he should be in court, he is no longer available on his phone.
