Berea, Sept 19 — In a bid to recognize the importance of senior citizens in the modern society, the Department of Social Development in Berea will celebrate the International Day of Elderly on October 13 at an event to be staged at Teyateyaneng Youth Centre.
This was disclosed by Department of Social Development District Manager Mrs. Matumelo Letlala during an interview with LENA on Tuesday. Mrs. Letlala said the event is set to be celebrated under a theme, “Resilience of older persons in a changing world”, and it seeks to recognize the significant contributions made by elderly people in all aspects of life
