BIBLE SOCIETY ENCOURAGES USE OF BIBLE

Maseru, Apr. 08—-With the holy week still in progress and Basotho continuing to celebrate Easter, the Bible Society of Lesotho has encouraged continued use of the Bible.

The Bible Society through its Secretary General Mr. Napo Mosito appealed to Basotho to donate Bibles to those in need in order to promote the word of God in the country.

Mr. Mosito pointed out that the use of the Bible is critical to the Bible Society and daily living of each individual. He stated that the Bible Society is thus working hard to ensure that the Bible is affordable and easily accessed by members of the public.

As part of its initiative to enhance the use of the Bible in the country, the Bible Society of Lesotho will next month hold its Annual General Meeting.

The Bible is described as a tool of guidance to mankind which gives hope to those in despair.

The Bible Society of Lesotho was established in 1967 under the guidance of the Bible Society of South Africa. It is a non-profit, non-sectarian and non-denominational organisation registered under Societies Act in the country.

It aims to ensure that scriptures are available in different languages and formats that are appreciated by all.
