Maseru, Apr. 18–Blood bank is pleading for blood groups O and B donors to come forward at this time when blood supply levels are low but the demand is high.
Mr. Khotso Kalake, Principal Laboratory Technologist, says blood supply levels are low this Easter holiday, and on Thursday there were only 58 examined units which were already ordered by different health centres in the country. However, even before the holidays, he said the shortage was already there.
Kalake said although all negative blood groups are also needed, O and B are crucial and pleaded all those in the above mentioned groups to donate blood, now and after the Easter break…PM/BM
