COUNCILLORS MARK BACK TO SCHOOL WITH HYGIENE KITS 

Qacha’s Nek, Feb. 21–In celebration of the back-to-school season, 11 Democratic Congress (DC) councillors from Qanya Council, dressed in school uniforms, donated sanitary towels and hygiene kits to 11 pupils at John XXIII High School. 

The gesture was made to promote Menstrual Health and Hygiene (MHH) and cleanliness as part of their social responsibility efforts.

Councillor Moleboheng Thatho, who spearheaded the initiative, described the donation as part of the councillors’ social responsibility to support vulnerable groups in the education sector.

 “Recognizing the challenges faced by students, especially girls, I reached out to my colleagues in Qanya to help, although not everyone agreed,” she explained…
