CRS APPLAUDS THE AGENCY

Mohale’s Hoek, Oct.09 — Catholic Relief Services has on Wednesday applauded the Agency for what it described as a golden opportunity, to be awarded a chance to explain issues pertaining to community engagement activities currently going on in the country.

This transpired in an interview with CRS Livelihoods Technical Advisor Mr. Selepe Hloela, amid a 7-day training held for the institution’s implementing partners, CARITAS, who will be training Private Service Providers (PSP’s) on establishing farmers organizations in their respective areas.

Mr. Hloela articulated that CRS is operating through a project called Integrated Catchment Management, (ICM),  and its assignment is to offer technical support to the implementing partners staff, who in return will capacitate, and ensure that farmers understand the basic steps of marketing, noting the aim is to ensure that Field Supervisors and PSP’s are in a position to assist farmers to step into agribusiness, and are able identify markets both local and regional . . .
