Maseru, Oct. 02 — Democratic Congress (DC) Youth League President, Mr. Pheello Sehlabaka has congratulated some of their youth who made it to the 2023 local government elections held in the country over the weekend.
Among these youth were Bereng Lerotholi aged 22 of Hloahloeng Constituency who had stood in as a Community Councillor under Senqunyane, thus winning against his opponents. Additionally, he noted that one Lomile Mpeka of Tsoelike Constituency under Tsoelikana electoral division H015 aged 20 made it as an appointee of the one third allocated to women otherwise special seats in these elections.
Therefore, Mr. Sehlabaka commended the said youth saying DC aspires for placement of youth in leadership roles, adding they are compiling an analysis regarding the outcome in relation to their youth participation in the elections.
